Problem:
The primary concern was the acid-based cleaners used in bathrooms, restrooms and kitchens
and the potentially harmful effect upon the health and safety of employees and guests. A
further concern, caused by the constant turnover of staff, was the time that had to be
spent training operators on the different products.
ENVIROGEN Applications:
- House Keeping:
ENVIROGEN is being used in the restrooms and bathrooms for cleaning toilets, urinals, tile floors, tile walls, sinks, faucets, tubs and showers. ENVIROGEN has replaced three products that were used by House Keeping to remove:
- Mildew
- Mold
- Rust
- Soap Scum

- Kitchens:

is being used to clean floors, walls, grouting, stainless steel equipment, food preparation surfaces, coffee makers, steam tables, fish tanks, blenders, and other appliances.
- Engineering:

is used for removing hard water scale, and rust from boilers, cooling towers, heating and air conditioning equipment.
- Pool and Spa Area:
ENVIROGEN is used on the tile floors, walls and grouting around the swimming pool and spa area.

Problems:
The company was using phosphoric acid in its cleaning process that had a major negative impact on the environment. The areas of the plant being cleaned had to be ventilated, barricaded and sign posted "Danger" to ensure employee safety. Operators had to wear protective clothing. They wanted to eliminate this substance from their cleaning process and needed a replacement.

Problems:

Problems:
Number 1 problem was safety. Students had used acid-based bowl cleaner in their squirt guns instead of water. Board wanted dangerous acid-based products out of the school.

Problems:
- Streaks on stainless steel.
- Build up of calcium, lime and milk stone. Milk stone is formed on the side of the stainless steel tanks where they pasteurize and when spillage runs down the side of the tank and onto the tile floor. Spillage also occurs when the piping is disconnected.

Problems:
The main problem was their labor-intensive cleaning practice. The equipment used for processing the crab and the shrimp had to be taken apart for cleaning and then reassembled. Another problem was the streaks left on the equipment after cleaning with the traditional chlorinated acid-based products they were using.
